About Us

Our Beliefs

                                                                                       Who We Are

God's Missionary Church is part of a large body of believers known as "Wesleyan Methodists." Following closely to the Bible as taught by John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church, our members seek to live their daily lives in accordance with the Scriptures.  We understand that salvation is by faith alone and that good works do not merit salvation. Out of a heart of love for the Savior, any command or principle taught within the Word is our sincere delight to follow. We believe the plan of salvation includes freedom from committed sin and freedom from the nature of sin in this life. The call to holiness throughout the Bible is real. The sanctified life is a Divine requirement, but more importantly, it is a blessed privilege for every born-again believer.

Our History

In the early 2000s, God laid a special burden upon the heart of a nearby pastor in Sunbury. Rev. Jacob Martin saw the many lost souls in the neighboring town of Danville and longed to plant a church there to reach them.

This building sat empty, and the Lord opened doors for God’s Missionary Church to be able to buy it. The church was opened in June of 2008 but then was closed around 2012 due to water damage, opening again in 2013. Over the years, God has blessed this ministry and continues to lead us as a Church family. We trust that in the coming years, until Jesus returns, this church will be instrumental in pointing people to Jesus, who can save and cleanse from all sin.
